just started anew bar tending job and it'll be my first "behind the bar" kinda job. just got off the serving floor now im in the bar. any common drinks i should learn quickly? tips? ect |

Anyways....make SURE you can make a good martini. Vodka, gin, apple, pomtini, etc. (vodka and gin for sure). When people want it dry MAKE IT DRY. What I do is put vermoth in, swearl it around, and dump it out...which is really dry but people tend to like it. when they want it dirty, make sure you dont use too much olive juice...half an ounce is good. It depends where you're bartending. I've been doing it at a beach for a while. One of the most common drinks I get is Long Island ice tea. Try not to use the mix and make it from scratch....impresses people and tastes much better. Are you at a student bar? restaurant? give me a bit more info. Knowing you're wine can go a long way too...which isn't too difficult. |
