Hello, Let me first start off by saying...I am not a bartender..But with that said...I think this would be the most logical way of making a pitcher of Iced tea's. First I would determine the size of the pitcher that you are going to use. Next, I would find out the size of the cup or glasses will be used. Most parties Ive been too, its usually 16oz.. Then I would figure out roughly how many of those cups I would get out of that pitcher, and then mix accordingly. So if its 64oz pitcher, then figure you would get 4 16oz cups and so on. Just make the pitcher like you are making 4 cups,or whatever yours work out to be...so for 4 cups would be 2oz's of each liquor, 4oz's of sour mix, fill with coke and Ice...Main thing is to keep the proportions correct so it doesnt taste screwed up. Good luck... Jay

Remember though, that you won't be filling the cups up all the way... if the cup is capable of holding 16 oz of liquid, you might only be filling it up 80%

Just simply figure out how many ounces your pitcher is, then do the recipe exactly how it says on our site. For example, the recipe is..
1 part vodka
1 part tequila
1 part rum
1 part gin
1 part triple sec
1 1/2 parts sweet and sour mix
1 splash Cola
If it's a 64oz pitcher, you're safe to use...say 7oz of each ingredient minus the mix, that would leave you with 42 ounces in your 64oz pitcher. Then add your 1 1/2 part of the mix, which would leave you with 52.5 ounces of the cocktail in your pitcher.
My math may be off quite a bit, it's almost 4am and i'm pretty out of it.

Hey im not registered but I am a bartender....just lazy today. Anyway im sure your party already happened but if it hasn't or maybe for the next time around, make sure not to put ice in the pitcher with your mixed drinks. It will melt and water down the drink ruining the flavor.
Anyway, i know its trivial and you probably wouldn't/didn't do that anyway but the bartender i trained under was an ice nazi, always adding more ice and pouring over fresh ice and when to add the ice.....but anyway enough ranting.
Hope the party was fun =)

maybe replace lemon juice with lime juice or lemonade as actual lemon juice do produce very sour feeling, it will cover the taste of the liqours

There's a variation on a long island that's pretty good. My friend had it for the first time the other day and I don't remember what it was called, but it gave it more of a red look. I know it wasn't grenadine. Any ideas?

It might have been cranberry juice. It's always a good mixer for liquor and it would add a red color and slightly tart/bitter flavor.

I would like to mix up a batch of the six Long Island Iced Tea liquors in a pretty glass carafe I've purchased that has a spikot on it, keeping it on the bar at room temp. throughout the holidays, allowing us to make up drinks whenever. If I don't add the sour mix or ice or cola at this point, will the liquor mixture keep indefinately? Thanks for your help! JJ
