I am interested in what everyone's drink of choice is at the bar.
At home i couldnt be more happy with a good whiskey on the rocks with a splash of water, but i find at the bar when ordering that is a watered down and overpriced drink.
I dont drink a lot of beer, and i hesitate to order a typical mix drink as i dont drink well liquor as a rule.
So does anyone have a drink, something easily made, hard to screw up, and maybe even reasonably priced?
One I like is a vodka tonic with a double dash of bitters. Recently I have been going either bourbon or scotch straight-up with water on the side. Kind of hard to screw-up straight spirits. My bourbons of choice are Buffalo Trace or Makers Mark. My scotch of choice is Glenlivet.
Enjoy,
Dave

Depending on how much you like bitters, but I enjoy either crown and sweet vermouth (50/50) or crown, sweet vermouth, and campari (equal parts as well).

I usually only order beer or shots in clubs.... but in new york city, it is too pricy to order shots. Shots usually cost as much as a glass of cocktail~

I don't have any specific drink in my mind right now. I only drink beer in bars.

I am certainly intrigued with a new "Gold Rush Cocktail" I have recently been introduced to. It was given as a surprise drink and by the first sip I was taken away. The flavor that stuck out the most was the spicy ginger. After I was finished, I had asked the bar-tender what the drink was made from. His response? Domaine de Canton, Maker's Mark Bourbon, and freshly squeezed lemon juice. I would certainly order this drink time and time again.

title- backfire
players needed- 4 0r more
what you need:
1 dice
a bottle of 80 proof liqur
shot glass
sticky notes paper
each player take a roll and what ever number they get, they write it and there name on the sticky pad and stick it in front of them
once everyone has done so,pour a shot of whiskey and set it in the middle of the table, everyone will take turns rolling the dice
if someone rolls your number, then u have the option of takeing the shot, or rolling a 6 to backfire back onto them and they will have to do the shot, or roll 1 to pass,

i enjoy to drink heineken or dos equis when i go out. theyre usually expensive here. but its worth it. if i feel cheap i'll go for a budweiser or shiner bock. liqour i prefer grey goose, belvedere or ketel one with club soda, or as many know it as a vodka rickey. i dont really do shots. if im with my friends, we do alot of don julio anejo shots. they are expensive but well worth it.
at home i drink it all. i have a full bar at home. whenever i feel like an exotci drink or shot. i'll just make it. mostly i stick to heineken or vodka rickey..
