Who's played any of the 3 next gen consoles? What'd you think? I personally have played all 3, the xbox 360, Playstation 3, and the Nintendo Wii. And when it comes down to just plain fun and entertainment, the nintendo wii by far whoops the other ones. The ps3 didn't impress me at all, but the 360 is also a very very good console, with great graphics and online play. But the Wii's controller is simply amazing, when you play the bowling game..it seriously feels like you're bowling (minus the 10 pound ball of course), and the billiard's game is extremely fun to play..as you use your controller exactly as you would your cue stick, including the force of your swing. I could go on for hours about how good the Wii's controller is, hehe.

I personally have a PS3, but I've played them all. They're all good systems with their own pros and cons, I just prefer the PS3. The Wii controler is a lot of fun especially with the sports games.

One thing about the ps3 that is definetly nicer then the others is the blu-ray DVD technology..when you factor that into the price of the machine, you can't beat it.

Anyone had any problems with their 360? Microsoft is going to set aside something like one BILLION dollars to repair defective machines - I think I heard that something like 1 in 4 machines will have the problem?
Geez... didn't they go through this SAME problem with the X-Box? (Then again, Sony's PS2 had these quality problems too...)
Why is Nintendo the only company that can make a durable system?
As for playing these systems... I need a computer, and if I'm going to buy one anyway, I may as well put $600 more dollars into a computer and do it up as a reasonably capable gaming rig then buy a console. Most of the big games make it to PC anyway...

I've played all 3 machines and own the PS3 and Wii. The only reason I haven't bought a 360 is because of the breakage rate. I went to best buy to return an item and there were 2 people with 360's in front of me. I asked the employee how many they had returned per day, the answer he gave was anywhere from 3-5.
The Wii is fun for non-gamers and simple party type games for family and friends who aren't necessarily gaming inclined. The PS3 is great for watching blu ray but has a limited number of games out at the moment. The 360 has quite a bit of games and decent graphics, not quite as good as the PS3 on some games. One of the main things other than the breakage rate of the 360 is the fact that you have to pay monthly in order to play online. For some people who don't get to play too very often, this sucks.

Sit down and play the epic Zelda, Metroid, or Mario Galaxy and you can quickly see that the Wii wasn't designed for "gamers" or "non-gamers", but as a very solid gaming console in ANY players hands. The main difference is that in order to try to appeal the largest possible demographic, Nintendo had to make the Wii look easy to pick up and play, which it is true for many of its titles. After becoming immersed in worlds Metroid, or Zelda any one will be hard pressed to call the Wii a system for "non-gamers".
