Maybe some of you knowledgeable folks here can help me. This past weekend I had a concoction which was described to me as a hard cider. It had no carbonation but did taste like a heavily liqoured cider. Here's the thing--I'm relatively sure this wasn't something that they fermented and bottled. I'm pretty sure it was just a mixture of a few different liquors--mentioned were rum, vodka and some Everclear--and something like apple juice and cinnamon. My problem is that no one was forthcoming with the recipe--it was one of those "secret" things.
My question--anyone have a recipe which would produce a drink like I described? Something that could be bottled up in some extra bottles I have around and would keep safely? I know I'm short on details here, but that's the info I have. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Prolly apple pie shots.
gallon of apple juice, gallon of apple cider, everclear, cinnamon sticks
get a big pot, (or divide up into 2 smaller pots) mix equal parts of apple cider and apple juice and about 2-3 cinnamon sticks in the pot
put it on the stove and simmer it for an hour or so while stirring every now and then (this lets the cinnamon sticks open up and release alot of cinnamon) its normal for the level to go down, you want it slightly thicker.
after an hour or so let it cool to room temperature THEN add the everclear to your liking (doesnt take much, start small add a little at a time but it is EXTREMELY crutial that you dont add the everclear when its still hot, will either boil off or possibly burst into flame)
shake and pour.
oh leave the cinnamon sticks in the mix too.

Anyone can homemade apple cider? Id like a recipe. Or apple juice would be alright, too. Whats the diff, anyway? Cider is like, thicker... and makes you go WHOO sometimes... Anyway, Im going to have lots of apples, I think. I have 7 qts. of apple pie filling in the canner right now.
Heres a recipe I saw on here last year...and its easy
5 gallon cider
3 lbs brown sugar
3 lbs honey
I chopped a few cinnamon sticks and soaked them in a little vodka dumped it and let it sit for several months before bottling....It turned out great. people could not believe I made it.
