OK someone had to start this one, and I hope it goes on for a good long time. :)

Our local newspaper just published some nice pitcher drink recipes and I'd like to share them here - I haven't tried any yet, but they look great!

I'll post one recipe per post for ease of reading.

First one - Bourbon Slushes!

2 1/2 cups strong brewed black tea
12 oz. frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 cups bourbon
1 cup sugar
6 cups water

Mix all ingredients together and freeze in a plastic container. When ready to serve, scoop into a glass. Makes 7 servings.

Beer Margaritas

Lime wedges
Coarse salt
2 cups ice
3 (36 oz. total) chilled beers (lighter-type lager recommended)
12-oz. can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
12 oz. tequila
4 oz. blue curacao

Rim margarita glasses with lime wedge. Dip rims in salt and fill with ice. In large pitcher, combine beer, limeade, tequila and blue curacao. Pour margaritas and garnish with lime wedges on a skewer. Makes 7 servings.

White Sangria

1/2 pound seedless green grapes, stems removed
1-2 peaches, pitted and thinly sliced
1 lemon, thinly sliced
1 orange, thinly sliced
3 cups fruity white wine (I'll use Oliver Soft White for this!)
1 cup apple juice
1 cup pineapple juice
2 cups ice
fresh mint

In a pitcher, combine fruit and white wine. Let sit for 1 to 2 hours. Pour in the apple and pineapple juices. Add the ice cubes and mint leaves and serve. Makes 7 servings. If you have any left over, it may be best to remove the lemon and orange to prevent bitterness from setting in.

Those two sound good! :)

Another new one - Pitcher Mojitos!

1 bunch fresh mint, washed and blotted dry
.75 to1 cup superfine sugar
1.5 cups freshly squeezed lime juice (reserve 12 lime halves)
1 750-ml bottle light rum
4.5 cups cold club soda

Reserve 12 mint sprigs for garnish & refrigerate in plastic sandwich bag. Stem remaining mint. No more than 20 minutes before serving, combine mint leaves and sugar in a minimum 85 oz. pitcher. Muddle mint & sugar together. Add 12 squeezed lime halves, muddle a little. Stir in lime juice and rum. Just before serving, slowly add cold club soda, stir gently to combine. Fill 10 oz. tall glasses 3/4 full with crushed ice. Add a squeezed lime half, a few mint leaves and the drink to each glass. Garnish with mint sprig and add a straw.

Here is one for ya'...I had this For the first time about 6 years ago down in St. Maarten. I asked the bartender on the beach for the strongest drink he could make me and this was what I got. Unfortunately when I went back to that same beach last year, the bartenders never heard about this drink. Luckily I found it in the bartenders black book. 2 of these drinks at 12 noon with little or no breakfast, I was feeling really good. This drink goes down really smoothly, and then about 20 minutes later it sneaks up on you and the Perma-grin sets in.
Fill glass with Ice.
1/2oz. Vodka
1/2oz. Bacardi 151
1/2oz. Tequila (book doesnt specify clear or gold, Id assume clear)
1/2oz. Triple sec
1/2oz. Amaretto
Fill with equal parts Orange, pineapple, and cranberry Juice.
Shake

The other night on a whim, I tried adding .5 oz. of coconut rum to a tall glass of raspberry iced tea.

Surprised me, it was dang tasty. :)

Another one, saw something on Food Network where they made a nice-looking variation of a slushy margarita.

In a blender, 2 shots tequila, 1/2 shot triple sec, juice of half a lime, 2 scoops of lime sorbet, 1 scoop lemon sorbet.

Blend well on high in blender, pour into margarita glass, garnish with lime slice.

came up with this one last week, called it a Boozy Bounty, it tastes good but, for a shot, its not as strong as i'd like, if anyone would try this out for me and suggest something that would give it more of a kick ( iwas thinkin some sort of bannane liquer maybe...) i'd really appreciate it, heres the recipe and method:
ingredients:
a half shot of malibu coconut rum
around a quarter of a shot of this mixture: melted equal quantites of dark and milk chocolate mixed with single cream
and to finish off-coconut milk

method is:
make the chocolate mix, allow to cool before use
half fill a generously sized shot glass with the malibu
slowly pour the chocolate mix into the glass, it will sit at the bottom as a layer,
finally using the back of a spoon, layer the coconut milk on top so it floats
to serve: cover glass with hand, slam onto table to mix the layers and take in one mouthful

this drink goes down really smoothly, and the hit that the malibu gives you is soothed by the chocolate

I know this is going to sound very similar to a Bloody Mary but there are gonna be some differences which make this drink unique....wel sort of, anyway.

1-2 shots of Jose Cuervo Especial(gold colored)
4-6oz of Spicy Clamato
pinch of salt
pinch of freshly ground pepper
pinch of celery salt
dash or two of worcestershire sauce

Put all indredients into an iced filled shaker, shake vigorously for a few seconds, strain, and pour into ice filled glass, garnish with celery and/or cilantro(coriander).

I like using Spicy Clamato because I'm not too fond of the vinegary taste of the hot sauces.

Enjoy but please drink this coacktail resposibly as it will knock you on your behind if you drink too many.

By the way, the difference between my drink and the Bloody Mary is I use Clamato and I use tequila instead of vodka......I must add that I experimented and found that the Tequila is just much more favorable with this particular drink. I also find that the Clamato is much more tastier than plain tomato juice.

Let me know what you guys/gals think.

Isn't this just a Caesar with tequila?

It sounds like an interesting variation - but what you're starting with is a caesar, not a bloody mary.

try adding 99 bananas to it, it'll give it a nice kick we call it an "O" martini around here - 2oz vodka, 1 oz malibu 1oz 99 bananas
how about a Screaming Chocolate Monkey: 11/2 oz malibu coconut rum 3 count banana syrup/liqueur and 3 squirts chocolate syrup, milk/cream to taste shake well with ice and strain, if wished top with chocolate sprinkles slice of banana and or a cherry
or to make a Black Banana add : 1 1/2 oz creme de banana and 1/2 oz grand marnier (recipe calls for 1 1/2 oz chocolate liqueur- but you could use your milk mixture) and 1 tsp whipped cream - optional garnish shake and strain into a martini glass, float whippd cream and garnish with a mint leaf
for a Nutty Banana 1 oz banana liqueur, 1 oz hazelnut liqueur, 1 oz malibu, and 1 oz spiced rum with 3 1/2 oz milk shake and strain- optional
to make a Strawberry Banana Colada you would need 1 oz strawberry schnapps, 1oz banana liqueur, 1oz malibu rum, and pineapple juice to fill shake well, strain, and garnish with orange and cherry
to keep with the banana and malibu theme there's the Big Banana you'll need 2oz rum, 2oz amaretto almond liqueur, 2oz malibu, 2oz creme de bananas ,pineapple juice in glass pour booze first top with pineapple, giving it a layered look with the brown amaretto on bottom add 2 straws and cherries if desired serves 2
heres my personal favorite and my original - Nut In A Cup malibu rum, peach schnapps , and 99 bananas - i prefer less peach to banana ratio but whatever your heart desires and milk/cream / 1/2 and 1/2 to fill - though i've never made it with chocolate before....shake and strain - id desired, i prefer to because the ice melts and makes the milk watery ugh.
i hope this inspires you and you find something enjoyable and tasty out of this. good luck and happy mixing! with love and a smile - m

30 oz. Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix
2-4 oz. Monster Energy Drink (Green)
5 Orange Flavored Tic-Tac
1 Whole Fruit Rollup (Strawberry
OPTIONAL: 1 Cool Ranch Dorito Chip

First take the whole jug of margarita mix, preferably half empty. Take the Tic-Tacs and drop them into the jug and shake for approximately five to ten minutes, or at least until their colour has faded. After that let the drink sit for another five minutes. Next comes the Monster or equivalent energy drink, pour in about a 1/4 or 1/6 of the can, depending on how strong you wish the drink to be. Swirl and shake the drink for about fifteen seconds to mix in the energy drink. Hopefully by this point the Tic-Tacs will have completely dissolved but if they haven't it doesn't particularly matter. For the final step insert one whole Strawberry Fruit Rollup, tearing it into pieces and dropping them in. Shake well for another few minutes and your drink should be complete.

You can drink this beverage in any available container, even straight from the jug, but be aware that the very bottom will most likely have a sort of rind from the Fruit Rollups and Tic-Tacs making it very strong or bad tasting.

This drink was invented by me at a party with some friends who were looking for a fun drink without alchohol. I mainly make this drink with a half full jug of margarita mix, but when using a full jug I double all of the none mix ingredients for the same result, but sometimes I must drain a little of the Jose Cuervo before hand in order to prevent it from over flowing. Feel free to improve upon or otherwise edit.

hi guys this is my 1st post here and i want to share with you my recipe for crazy water (agua loca), i dont know is it posted already but here it goes

you need to buy:

1 19lt-20lt bottled water (i dont know its name but is a big bottle)

1 bottle of cheap white tequila (1lt)

1 bottle of appleton jamaican rum (must be white) (750ml or 1lt)

1 bottle of any kind of vodka (cheap is better) (everclear will not work in this case because of his taste) (750ml - 1lt)

1 small bottle of bacardi 151 (you just use like 200ml or 250)

2kg of sugar

and strawberry coolaid you need a lot (i use like 25 litlle packages for 2lt each envelope)

thats all you need

take out like 6 lt of the bottle and dont waste it you need to refill the bottle with water at the end

then add the whole bottles of vodka rum and tequila and the 250 ml of bacardi
(you can add more bacardi but you need more coolaid and sugar)

then add the coolaid mixes

then add the 2kg of sugar

then refill it with water to the top of the bottle

and shake the bottle until the sugar dissapears from the bottom

taste it and if tastes you like alcohol add more coolaid and sugar

but on my case thats all i mix

drink it with ice and with 5 or 6 glasses of this crazy water your pretty happy

enjoy it!!!!!

Blue Fizz

1 oz blue curacao
Dry champagne, to fill
Maraschino cherry (makes the drink look really cool)

Pour the blue curacao into a chilled champagne glass. Top up with the champagne, and throw the cherry in the bottom.

**Make sure that the curacao and champagne are well chilled for this one**

Named after the unlicensed boxer, Lenny Mclean, for obvious reasons:

2 oz Bombay Sapphire
1/4 oz Kubler Absinthe
1/4 oz dry vermouth

Shake with ice, pour into chilled martini glass, add a lemon twist (be sure to rim the glass).

This one doesn't pull punches. Tastes good, too. The liquorice flavor of the absinthe plays nicely with the Bombay and vermouth.
