Im having a BBQ/pig roast for the 4th.Have confirmed 60 people.About 15 or so beer drinkers so I have 1/2 keg of Becks on order. There are more women than men coming who aren't big beer drinkers,so I need a good recipe for a punch to fit the bill.I do know most will drink wine so Sangria/fruit comes to mind.
I would like alcohol in it but I don't want "smashed on your arse" before 3:00 either.Something that goes down easy and fits most taste's.As a guy who's main choice is Patron chased with Becks,I dont know too much about punch except what we mixed up in my younger days(What I remember of them anyways)
Thanks for the help in advance........

Sandhog I think i have a few good July 4th punches for you. Let me know what you think of these 2 variations of punch.

Summer Gin Punch (http://www.beefeatergin.com/mixology/cocktail.php?recipe=Summer%20Gin%20Punch)

2 PARTS Beefeater London Dry Gin

1/2 PART Water

1/4 PART Gomme syrup

1/4 PART Fresh lemon juice

1/2 PART Fresh orange juice

1 Lemon twist

1 Orange twist

2 Fresh raspberries

2 Chunks of diced pineapple

1 PART Soda

BUILD All ingredients in a mixing glass over ice, then transfer contents into a punch cup

Second Punch would be the Duke of Manchester Punch (http://www.beefeatergin.com/mixology/cocktail.php?recipe=Duke%20of%20Manchester%20Punch )

1 1/2 PART blackberry-infused Beefeater Gin

1/2 PART Beefeater Gin

1/2 PART Dry Vermouth

1/2 PART Sweet Vermouth

1/4 PART Cassis or blackcurrant syrup

1 PART Freshly squeezed lemon juice

1/2 PART Sugar syrup

1 PART Prosecco

METHOD Stir all ingredients, except Prosecco, with ice. Top with bubbles and garnish with seasonal fruit.

Let me know if you decide to go with any of these!!
