What did I drink?

I rarely frequent bars. I was at a local type bar the other day with a friend and
I asked the bartender what she was making. It had this pink drink... in a white
frosted bottle....it smelled and tasted like grapefruit juice. On the bottle was simply
"V". What was it?????:confused:
I had a shot of it and it went down so smooth!!!!

The process of distillation and pasteurisation are not yet discovered at that time.Because of that,they couldn't age wine because the yeast is still alive and it sours into vinegar in a short time unless if it stored in a tightly closed vessel.Once grape juice turns into wine which takes place in just a few days,they have to drink it as soon as possible.To get intoxicated,it takes a lot of shots before the effect of the wine takes place. That's what exactly brought to Muhammad.He wanted the wine to be intoxicated as soon as possible.
