Honey in a Shaker

I use honey sometimes in my mixed drinks, but when you add it to ice it tends to harden making it hard to pour and irritating to clean. Is this just what happens to honey when you use it in a mixing drink or is there something I am missing?

Adding honey in your drink makes it more tasty, also it decrease the bitterness of the drink... So i always prefer to add honey in my drink....
