Can anyone share the best and easiest way to make a Black & Tan? I've tried several different ways (including the bent upside-down looking spoon thing) and mine never seperate correctly.
Thanks

Thanks Dm Nathan...I'll give that a whirl. I think what my problem was trying to pour the Guinness too fast.

That seems to be the most common mistake when making this drink, let me know how it goes!

The Spoon is HIGHLY instrumental along with the delicate nature in which you pour it.:)

It's all about the speed. Too fast and it'll hit the ale too hard and mix instead of layering. Works best with a tap with the proper head on it, but if you have a Guinness can or bottle and pour slowly over the back of the spoon it should work.

It depends on the speed. You have done most mistakes made this drink. You may already know this, but there is a gangling beer named Black & Tan. I'm not a beer drinker,so I can't speak to its qualities, but it is a favorite among friends.
