shot in a glass

Hi guys,
I am desperately trying to get a shot glass into a beer glass (full of beer!) so it can float for at least 30 sec but every time it drown!!!
I have tried in several beer glasses but to the same result!
HELP!!

try a plastic shot glass filled to about 1/2 - 3/4 way, dont fill it all the way, and it should float.

it shouldnt matter what beer glass you use, you just need to use a plastic shot glass not filled all the way. (laws of physics are in play i belive)
