I recently applied at a new liquor/beer/fine foods store. The manager enjoyed my resume and was interested in me but he didnt hire me. the problem was "conflict of interest". He asked me multiple times if i was willing to quit my club job and work for him. Of course i said no, since i am loyal to the people i work and treat me right. What was funny cause he started the interview with loyalty subject. that he wanted to hire loyal employees. i did assure him i could be "loyal " to him and my club job but he repeatedly told me he would hire me if i quit the bar job many times during the interview. he repeated "conflict of interest " many times. in my opinion i feel like its bs and just plain selfish. many people do work multiple jobs and succeed in them without problems. my questions is. who here has dealt with this? how did you deal with it? i am planning to go back and speak with him again after i do my research on this "conflict of interest law"
